so that sub is 2 ohm and 600 watt rms
the amp is # 1 ohm stable
# 600W x 1 RMS at 1 ohm
# 300W x 1 RMS at 2 ohm
# 150W x 1 RMS at 4 ohm
so do i just wire the sub to a 1 ohm so i can have the amp to push 600 watts?
not familiar with ohms
so this is pretty much in between a W6 and W7?
I know this stuff is cheaper but does it have the same quality as a JL audio? as in will this sh*t blow in a month?
I remember i had a alpine type r its rated 500rms
but how come my friend had a JL audio w6 rated at 400rms his sh*t hit harder than mine?
does watts matter or is it the way the sub is made and box etc?
its like saying i have a 1000+whp civic and i run 10s

Box plays a very big role, vehicle does also. You could have a hatchback vehicle with very little power, sound a whole lot louder then a trunk vehicle with double the power. Everybody already recommended you some very good options. Another option that I have not yet seen posted was Resonant Engineer Audio (RE Audio). They make some great stuff also. But FI, IDQ, Stereo Integrity are all great brands. You like it loud, or you want it clean?

If you will be planning to upgrade eventually, then there are so many stinkin options out there it could make your head spin.
Starting with amps, this really depends on the sub you pick. And one quality brand is really no better than another quality brand. So any quality amp that will provide at least the rms power for the sub is sufficient.
Now to subs that will be similar/better than a jl w7.......
This sub will crush the hell out of a w7
AudioPulse Revo 12" dual 2 ohm ($450)

What some of us do have a problem with is the premium price that JL charges for their equipment. If you get it via an avenue that yields you a significant savings then you did well and you got a good piece of equipment. If you pay anything near retail, then you could have gotten much better equipment for the same price.

OR
http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/s...&productId=193
i would run either above mentioned driver in the ZEN under strut
you will want a dvc 4 ohm driver , and run it at 2 ohm load
easy on your electrical
better SQ at 2 ohm than 1 ohm
off of this at 2 ohm
http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/s...d&productId=20
and this on your mids & highs
http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/s...d&productId=21
http://www.reaudio.com/components.html
and these in Nazar's pods the XXX series
you will be way better off than JL

And I can't believe you are asking if AudioPulse is close to the same quality of JL. AudioPulse is the retail brand name for TC Sounds. TC Sounds has been a build house for some of the world's best subs for many many many years. Example.....the titanium Eclipse subs from about 10 years ago that were the **** for their time - remember those? - well they were built by TC Sounds for Eclipse. TC Sounds used to build subs for a lot of brand names that you have heard of/bought over the years (depending on how old you might be). The AP Epic (cheaper one) is a great SQ sub that will play deeper and cleaner that a w6. The Revo will just destroy a w7 in pure spl applications and will sound cleaner (keep in mind the w7 is NOT a SQ sub). And we won't even discuss the Axis or LMS-Ultra because JL doesn't make anything comparable. Of course the enclosure and tuning have a lot to do with a system, so my comparisons are moot if one does not take the time and effort to properly enclose and tune the driver.

I want good clean/loud subs more of a clean sound its gonna hit hard anyways

is what your looking for , and i think you are ,based as JL Audio was your starting point
then you will get a bit more SQ at 2 ohm than 1 ohm
so if your final load is 2 ohm , buy a 4 ohm DVC driver so that you get a final 2 ohm load
the amp i am recomending does 800 watts at 2 ohm and will match nicely with the drivers i posted
also the 2 ohm load is easier on your z's electrical draw
