Is this possible...??
Well basically i want to put some subs (two) in the z because the well the Bose system is not satisfying.
I want the best sounding system without compromising space. I know the best space saving spots are in the stock bose location but i have heard they dont sound as good as bouncing it off the glass.
And the large enclosures in the trunk seem to take up alot of space.
My idea is to build into the structure behind the seats 2 subs(10" or 12")??
I came up with this little crappy photoshop.
Do you think it is possible to do something like this without compromising alot of space.

Ok thanks thats the feedback i was looking for. I was actually looking to buiild into the spot where the speakers are. But looks like alot of work.
I have seen alot of enclosures that go between the strut brace and rear speaker section, but seems to take up alot of space.
The one i am looking at is something like this....but only with 2 subs.

I like your "photoshop" idea- although it will be a lot of work...
One caveat- if you do this, you will likely clobber the existing rear speakers due to transient pressure build-up with high levels of bass (unless the rear section is really not air tight I do not know for sure, sorry) - so, use a tuned-port vent (you can get them from Parts Express in Ohio) to relieve the pressure and also get a boost in the bass if you tune to the correct port length (you can figure this out by trial and error, or by reading any of the decent car audio books at Barnes and Noble or other bookstore).
