I read a post of yours where you were giving advice to a guy wanting to upgrade his speakers. You mentioned a problem where the speakers will hit the doors under full excursion and cause a rattle. I think i am having this exact problem!! I paid $430 for a professional install and I would like your opinion on what can be done to fix this cause I plan on taking it back in. As far as I can tell the installer must have made custom mounts cause my old speakers don't look cut up. If they tell me that is just the way it is or that the speakers are just too big for the doors should I just accept this? Like you said it doesn't happen on most CDs I play but several songs on the new Boz Skaggs cd produced this problem. Particularly the song "Desire" if the volume is over 10. I'm sure I will eventually find other music that causes this and considering I just spent over a grand on upgrades I'd prefer not to have to live with it. btw - I added JBLC608GTi components powered by a JBL Px600.2 amp a basslink. Otherwise the speakers sound fantastick!!
