Default alpine iva-w200 install

I was trying to install my head unit and It seems the spacers that are in the kit dont take up all the space that needs to be taken up.. Has anyone had this problem??

post a picture of the problem an i'll see if it looks like mine, or if it looked anything like that while i did my install. I do remember that the mounting brackets they sent with the install kit weren't right on, but with some work they fit and hold the h/u.

The w200 fit in mine also, but my installer drilled new holes so that it sit more flush.

More info and I'm sure we can help you out. Thinking you might be talking about a trim ring or something?

its a 04. It seems the spacers dont take up all of the room for the trim ring and the stock mounting bracket... I will have to try again an take some pic if I can't get it to work... Thanks

Sounds like you need the mounting kit.

Which mounting kit? I know people recommended the Metra to me.

Good luck with it.

Also,,,make sure you purchased the correct dash kit for the "year" of your car. The Kits are made for 03-05 and different kit for 06 and up. The 06 dash changed from the prior year's dash. That could be the problem. Just a suggestion.

+1 on the Metra dash kit.
