I have purchased an 05 350z just over a month ago. The car was bought from a dealership which bought the car at auction (out of state). The car has a kenwood 8017 with the 6 1/2 disply. The radio was working great till my wife and daughter took it out this weekend. The radio stopped working and advises that I need a code to reset the radio. I looked in the kenwood book and it states that without the original owner code it will stay locked up. The question I have is there a kenwood override code (4 digit).

Any help would be appreciated.

As sdbaker advises, you should contact Kenwood. They will fix this for you pronto. It may have something to do with extra services purchased by the original owner, or it might be simply a theft deterent. Whatever it is, Kenwood will provide the help you need.
