I want to replace Bose but not remove and would like to put a head unit in nav spot . Pictures of dash off show another piece of metal behind nav spot and body shop thinks that has to do with air bag. So without being able to cut metal has anyone angled a HU in there and if so how did you do it? If I put one behind me in glove box or little shelf box I would lose use of remote control. Thanks!!

 

yeah, someone here has put a head unit in the NAV spot. Not sure on the details of the install, but do a search. If my memory is correct, he/she titled the thread something like 'LA proof install' or something.
