Roadster sub and head unit ideas
I just got an 08 touring with the Bose system... I wanted to get it without factory nav, but there were only two cars available in WA and OR that had my other specs (black, manual) so I had to buy one with factory nav. Originally, I had planned to immediately pull out the factory head unit and replace with a double-din all-in-one nav/audio/dvd system. Soooo, what to do now? Should I:
1) Leave the factory nav and just install a double-din audio/dvd system that may or may not have nav, and if so, just not use it? Are there any nice, sleek double-din touch-screens that have everything other than nav, so I don't have to double-up with two navs?
2) Just leave everything stock?
Also, is it easy to swap out the stock Bose sub with a better one?
Finally, it's going to take me a while to get used to the new sound arrangement (I traded in a 2003 350z coupe) with the rear speakers coming from much lower than I was used to... I think I want to upgrade the front speakers to something really nice to get as much as possible from the front. Thoughts?
Thanks for any ideas!

I have factory nav in my roadster that I kept and replaced every Bose component. I went w/ a double-din touchscreen dvd solution (Kenwood DDX712). The rest of my components were upgraded to Kenwood Excelon components as well. For lows and the amp I went with Memphis Audio with a 10" behind each seat.
It's certainly not the highest end equipment out there and I know that, but I'm really happy with the sound quality.
