I've seen numerous threads on this subject some informative and some not so informative, but with plenty of suggestions. I need specific answers/details to make an informed purchase/install to upgrade my Stock Touring model system. The following is what I want to do but would like good info:

1. Keep Head Unit
2. Upgrade Speakers
3. Install Sub

End Goal:Better sound for under $1200.00

I'd like to get any detailed information to include part/model number's of the item's suggested to do this upgrade.

Thats really hard to do. you give a general setup and asking for specific install details. Like you said, you've seen numerous post, so there's numerous answers to the question you're asking. It would be easier if you narrow your choices down to 2 or 3 types of speakers and subs. what kind of install you had in mind, diy or pro (guessing diy since you want it under 1200). If there was install that caught your eye just pm the person who did it for details.
