Default Driver front speaker only plays sometimes...help!

Hi guys, first time posting in this forum but i need help...my driver side front speaker only plays sometimes! I can't figure out an exact pattern, but it stops mainly on CDs and when i'm going very slow (<10mph) it works more than if i'm going faster than that. When listening to the radio, it generally plays evenly out of all speakers, and quality sounds normal so I don't think any speaker is blown. Also if I turn off the system and turn it back on, it plays out of all speakers atleast for a little bit then stops on that one....

Could this be due to a loose connection/witch dealing with something? I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to this audio stuff as i've never dealt with it before. Just wanted to see if I could fix this on my own before having to go to the stealership, cause I listen to music almost 100% of the time i drive.

THanks guys!

It's probably your Bose HU.

I had the same problem with it cutting out on the driver front. After I replaced the HU it worked fine. It was only the CD player.

I'm guessing electricity is being blocked from the hu to the speaker. prolly because the stuff that conducts electricity has a break preventing it....jmo.

If you have an extended warranty you can probably get it replaced. If not you could check the classifieds.

That is correct. Just another little bit of advice... the 03's face is a different color but you can swap the faceplates. I got an 04 and swapped the face from my 03 and it worked fine

^^ Yes, that is the H/U.

And... that is what the dealership replaces to fix the problem you are experiencing.

If you are still inside your warranty, your best choice is having the dealership replace the H/U.

If it's not under warranty, I don't suggest you pay to replace it with the same unit. If you have to pay out of pocket, go aftermarket.
