Default help! how to make a top of the line audio system...

i saved up some money to spend on sounds.
and i need HELP!
i have the stock bose audio for my 03 touring.
im using kenwood DDX812 for my deck.
i just ordered the custom box from zenclosure. (one 10" opening that goes right under the bar with amp rack)

what kind of speakers, tweaters, amps, and sub should i get?
should i take out that speaker behind the drivers seat and replace it with some other speaker? if yes, should i put the same speaker behind the passenger side seat?
i'm sorry i really need help on this one... thanks

How much have you saved up? Just curious because that will give us a good starting point...... Top of the line audio could easily exceed 10 grand.

Call Bing, drop off your car and cash and then come back later to be astonished.

Considering his location is Hawaii, that'd be a little difficult.

Top of the line is.........not the same for everyone.
What do you want the system to do sound great, look great, be able to pull up at the beach and be heard for the next 10 miles??? Or do you just want good clean sound that you can enjoy.

a budget would be very useful...

also messaging Bing would be a good idea as he is very helpful and able to piece together a good setup given how much you want to spend.

Step one: Call Citibank and get an increase in your credit limit. What you have saved is probably not enough for top of the line.

Step two: Call Bing

Step three: Be without your car for 2 weeks.

Step four: Listen to your system

Step five: upgrade

Man if i was you...dont even worry about the rear speakers...who needs sound in your head rest..you dont go to a concert to listen to the music to be behind you,you want your center stage to just smack you right in the face.

I am a Boston Acoustics dealer and I am a die hard fan.If i was you i would go with either set up.

Boston Pro 60s mids for the front matched with a GT-42 4 channel amp run 2 of the channels to your midrange drivers and the other 2 to the crossovers into the tweeters.Thats if you are baller

OR next option

Boston SL60 series comps. with a GT-40 series amplifier.I do alot of this combination together and has a reallly high clear sound to it

big difference in the componets is that the Pros have a anodized alloy tweeter and AMD technology

where the Sl componets are a silk dome tweeter.

As far as woofers I would use a G2 woofer it is what I personally use in my car.

I would pair it with a GT-22 amplifier and run it to 2 ohm...and your set...and will be CRYSTAL clear precision audio.

check it out..if your interested give me a shout if you have any questions.

thanks for the feedbacks everyone!
i'm not really into the looks, as long as my sub fits in my box. lol
i want some quality sounds. so good that only my audio system can hear parts of a song that usally cant hear it in a mediocre audio player.
specifically, where to put the tweaters, and what kind.
which speakers and what kind, etc. etc...

but at the same time, i don't want to spend 10k on sounds.... sorry
it doesn't have to be TOP OF THE LINE like auto show crazy.
jus enough money to purchase a full quality audio system. thanks

Sounds like you want a decent SQ system. I already know what Bing would recommend. Seas Lotus Reference in custom kicks with tweets in the A-pillars, DLS Ultimate A5 & A4 amps, and either a IDQ10 or IDMAX10. And for processing a Zapco DSP6.

What is your definition of "top-of-the-line?

I am more than happy with my current setup which consists of:
Kenwood DNX7120
MB Quart 6.5" Components up front with Zenclosure 1" spacers.
MB Quart 6.5" Component midbass in rear
4-Channel Amp powering all four speakers (Using a Sony ATM until I order the Kenwood I've had my eyes set on)
Very weak single channel amp driving the stock BOSE sub amp'd at 40hz. (until I get my Zenclosure strut sub box and new mono amp)
60 feet of eDead V1 sound deadening.

Some may not like my setup or may frown upon it for not using JL, etc... But I'm happy with my setup and it sounds loads better than the stock BOSE. It's only begun for me...
