Default factory mounting brackets for radio

i was told by my dealership that the 2 mounting brackets that attach to the stock radio cost almost $50 each, so about $100 total, plus i would have to order them since they are not in stock. do i have any other options to install an aftermarket double din unit without having to use the factory mounting brackets?

thanks in advance.

You will not have to buy anything other than the Metra kit...... I just put the Z2 (Double Din) in my car and everything you need is there.

I ran into this same problem when my car got broken into and my brackets got destroyed from them ripping my head unit out. The only other option is to get custom brackets made which will probably cost just as much if you can even find someone that can make them.
