My car was a return from a lease. The orginal radio was reinstalled
and when I turn on the headlights, the backlight goes out.

Any easy fix to the wiring snafu?

I noticed the same thing with my car when I first got it. On the side of all your gauges theres buttons just like on the right side. Mess around with those to adjust the settings.

Gosh, I'm glad it fixable by fiddling instead of having to remove the radio.

Rats. Adjusting the brightness just does not seem ta fix it.

The headlight switch turns off the radio backlight just as if it
were a switch to do so, meaning that if you turn the headlights
off and on, the backlight goes off and on at the same instant.

Just a bit of wiring backwards from the reinstall of the stock radio
when they turned this former lease back in? They had an xm radio-
the antenna is still on the roof panel.

I could get emailed directions to take the radio out for $5, but I am not at all
experienced in taking things off and on cars and I am reluctant
to take any tools to my pretty little car.
