Default New touchscreen in G37 [pics]

Hello. We at the AudioShoppe would like to say hello to this community as well as a few others and would like to share our latest project G37. We installed a new touchscreen in place of the old factory screen with a new AV unit... while keeping the factory interface... here are a few pictures...

Great result.

I would be interested in a more detailed description of the components. Looks like a Kenwood screen.

Nice looks like the unit I just ordered. I just got the Kenwood DNX-7100. It is not installed yet though. Is this the same one?

How do you like it so far?

Couldn't this be done by Kenwood's Car portal systm--with the exception of the touch screen?

Yes this is the carportal system. We opted for this route because the customer did not want to lose OEM functions with the addition of the new screen. The oem controls still work as well as the steering wheel controls. Garmin Nav in the dash? check.

Does this car portal system work with the 350Z's factory nav, I would love to keep the oem function but have a good screen instead of the **** nissan uses.

When you say: "Yes this is the carportal system." Is the "carportal system" you refer to the Kenwood KOS system?

In other words, is the LCD touch-screen monitor a Kenwood LZ-702W Monitor or is it a Kenwood KOS-L702 Monitor? I'm guessing it's KOS (since that keeps the OEM system operational), but am not sure.

I really like the fact that you have the Kenwood's LCD control buttons accessible, and the access to these buttons looks finished.
