Default Bose HU install help

I have a Grand Touring 06 that had a BOSE 6 cd HU. I purchased it and the last owner put a JVC in. I am going to re-install the Bose head unit and was hoping you guy's could give me a heads up on what to expect. It should be as simple as removing the JVC harness and plugging the BOSE in???

No.

The Bose has a separate pair of "amplifiers" - one near the subwoofer, the other in the back under the antenna - that need to be considered. If the JVC runs line level signals back to them and the guy didn't butcher off the two (three?) plugs you ought to be able to connect in the Bose but until you get that JVC out there's no telling what's been done. If the guy pulled out the amplifiers - or ran cables around them to the "speakers" you likewise have issues.

Why Bose?

It's simple I can't see the small JVC controlls. I also need the steering wheel controlls to work.

It's installed with no issue and sounds much better than the JVC unit I removed.
