I have a 2005 6MT Touring with the Bose system. It has the cassette, sat, and indash cdchanger. I bought it used and don't have sat subscription.

For stereo upgrades I understand I have two choices:

Get the USA Spec iPod adapter (from what I have read, I can plug this in where my unused sat currently is and still keep my indash cd changer)

or

Completely scrap the Bose (HU, speakers, sub, amp(s)) and get all new HU, sub, speakers, and amp(s).

USA Spec iPod would run about $140, while the complete upgrade could be done for <$1,500 (Pioneer Nav with HDD, etc.)

Suggestions?

 

Do a little searching on here-you will find one common theme: Bose is crap. Upgrade all!!!
