I have a 2003 with the bose stereo. The sub behind the driver seat recently started to cut in and out at times. Dosent seem like the sub is broken, it works some times it seems like a connection is loose somewhere. Any help is appriciated.

 

First thing to check -- is it just when playing CDs? Or does it also affect radio and iPod (if you have an iPod direct interface). There's a common problem that causes the left side (I think) speakers to cut out, but only when playing CDs. I think it's even covered under warranty, if you happen to have the extended warranty.

Mine suffers from this (it's intermittent), but I rarely play CDs so I don't care. I use an iPod interface instead.

 

Im pretty sure it does it no matter what i listen to.

 

I have this issue w/ my G where I hit a bump it'll cut out until I hit a bump again it'll come back. Same with my friends Z on the same left side. Is it the deck that has a problem?
