Here is my situation:

I have a 06 350z Grand Touring (BOSE) and I got myself an Eclipse AVN50D Double din (two slots. 1 for nav disc and the other for music).

I bought the dashkit, wiring harness, and steering control interface (PAC SWI-ECL). I thought that's all I needed, however after my friend was installed it, it turned on but there was no sound and the button's wouldn't light up and NOW there is a CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. Will this check engine light go away eventually?

After researching, we came across this one DIY post, and saw that I needed this PAC ROEM-NIS2: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...ROEM-NIS2.html (which I just ordered.)m? My question here is that, I NEED TO HAVE THIS, in order for my sound to work.. since I have bose system?

Any help will be greatly appreciate it..
