I need help in being educated on how to install a recently purchased 7' in dash dvd player Xovision XOD1736. I am trying to install it into the top navi compartment and have been getting mixed solutions on how to solve this problem.

My questions are can I connect a computer, xbox or rear view camera to the head unit and how would I be able to fit it into the top navi, I've been told I probably need a custom cut out of the top compartment.

Please get back at me this is my first time modding my Z and need help desperately.

With all do respect I think you need professional help - not the mental type but rather the install type. As your first audio modification, you are undertaking a lot more than I think you think you are taking. Understand that?

Anyways, if you were doing a standard lower double din deck install on a non-Bose system then all the help you need is available here. Anything more advanced and I think that even with all of our knowledge, you still risk accidentally catching fire to your beloved Z. I wouldn't want to be a part of that. Visit your local car audio specialist (ie: Not big box but the small shop that has been doing it forever type deal), bring some beer on a Friday afternoon, lend your girlfriend to the guy for a few minutes or offer up some Krispy Kreme's to the brother. He can do your install and maybe, just maybe, teach you a thing or two.
