Default Cubby Mounted LCD??

I would like to know what LCD screens are available for the 2003 cubby. Over the years it appears that some screens that were so favoured have become harder to come by or replaced by newer possibly better models. Oh yeah I would also like to know how easy they are to fit into the cubby!!!

THANX!!!!!!

I am running an Alpine TME-M770 in my cubby. Its the best fitting and easiest screen to install that I have come across. Plus it looks amazing! I've done a few of them.

If you only require composite video, the older models are a good choice. They are still available. Farenheit T-7000MHR, Power Acoustik PT-700MHR, and NESA Vision NSM-7005 are the same monitor, just different brand names. These are NTSC/PAL Monitors that support only composite video connecting to its source using a RCA jack. They do not provide touch-screen function. These monitors provide a good image, are inexpensive (< $100 street price), and fit the 2003 upper/forward cubby perfectly (it’s a drop-in friction fit).
Monitor Dimensions (WxHxD): 177.8 x 127 x 22.8mm

Alpine TME-M770S Monitor (discontinued but still available from various sources) and Kenwood LZ-702W are touch-screen monitors that fit, but the touch-screen functions only support features of the monitor itself or specific devices from the respective manufacturer. That’s because the monitor uses a proprietary connector to an A/V “hideaway” box that you mount somewhere in the car. The A/V module connects to the manufacturer’s own devices (a navigation unit is an example) using another proprietary connector. The “hideaway” box also has RCA jacks for composite video and right/left audio allowing you to connect devices from other manufacturers (for example a DVD player), but you cannot operate the connected device using touch-screen functions.
Monitor Dimensions (WxHxD):
Alpine TME-M770S: 161 x 109 x2 8.5mm
Kenwood LZ-702W: 177 x 121.5 x 34mm

None of the monitors above use a VGA or DVI connector, and thus are not appropriate for a CarPC. If you want to install a CarPC, you need one of the monitors adamtaylorpcb mentions.
