Talking Bose Head unit S*ck...

Just want to let some of you guys out there know that by just installing a new stereo system makes a huge def... to the sound quality. If you have the bose system it comes with a factory amp. It does a pretty good job with a new stereo. I just had mine install last week and loved it. The stock speakers are pretty good, with the new stereo. So for those of you that are disapointed like me with the bose system replace the the head unit to like a pioneer of something you'll love the def....

I was told the factory amp and speakers will not work with any HU other than the bose.

Great news!

So does your system sound average, better than average, or much better than average now?

I'm thinking of going cheap and doing the same thing.

Where is the stock amp located?

Yea, one thing I do NOT want is the look of a after market radio stuck into the dash! I did yank out my Bose in the 300ZX I just sold, and put in another. Sounded great, but looked like ****.

Hoping Bose provides a damn fix!

I swapped out all my Bose factory speakers and put in two new amps. One amp runs the front stage and one amp runs the rear stage + the sub. The sound makes for an incredible improvement. Some people have said the Bose has a "flat" sound, which for the most part it does, but if you put in a quality amp with dynamic speakers you will get a significant improvement while preserving that clean factory look.

That sounds like a definite possibility....give us some more info on what amps you bought....model #'s, names, how you did the install, what speakers, size,etc....

Thanks!!
