![Question](https://my350z.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I just wanted to know, im hooking up an external amp to my bose system. Is the bolt that is under the rear carpet that has a hook on it (top right side of carpet in front of bar), a good spot to ground if i sand it down? Or where would a better spot be?
Thanks for anyones help.

quite honestly, any bolt you find on the chassis on the cage is a decent ground. i recently installed my jl 500/1 and 300/4...and i just ended up just using a "T" block and ground it to one of the bolts holding down the bose sub frame. Also, you generally want your ground as short as possible to avoid "ground loops" which can wreak havoc on your speakers...."unwanted noise, alt whine, etc"
so yea, if you can, the ground from your amp should be as short as possible.
o yea, and by chance, i have had crystal clear sounds from my speakers with no alt whine at all by grounding the amps at that point i mentioned above. (i didnt sand it either) hope this helps, and good luck!
