I want to hear from people what they did with their dead buttons. I was thinking of installing a video input in my stock nav system and using one of the dead buttons as an input switcher between the nav screen and the dvd feed. I'd love to get feedback from others and see what they have done with theirs. Please post your pics. I was looking at the push-to-start button tech section and thought it might be cool to retrofit one of these buttons for that. Show me what you got.

I have a 2008 Touring Edition which has dead buttons in the following places:

Dead button 1 - next to the seat warmer buttons in the center console. I'm not sure what this was button was ever intended to be used for.



Dead button 2 - above the gas door button, next to the "TCS OFF" button. I know that this button is used in the roadster models and it puts the top down, but it ain’t doing much in my slick top.

 

mine are still dead havent put anything in that needs one

 

When I had my Scion, I put a small red button into one of my dead buttons and modified my garage door opener so that everytime I pressed it, it would open. It was cool at the time

 

Ejection seat button next to the seat heaters and turbo-booster next to TCS ala Kitt...
