Question Avic D3

Ok i purchased and installed my D3 (i have Bose) Yesterday and i have 2 problems 1 is that the radio stations are scratchy sounds like i have poor reception(yes i plugged in the antenna) second is that it sounds weak compared to the stock bose radio, it is not as loud,all the speakers work fine, i want to know if theres anyone out there with similar problems with solutions?

I installed an alpine HU and reception sucked. I think it's because Z's have an amplified antennae. I messed around with it and the harness is connected correctly but still same problem. Try sticking a long copper wire in the back of the HU where you would normally connect the factory antennae. I did this and reception was much better.

thanks ill try this once i get imy ipod wire to hook both of them up will im back there.
