Again, that is USB. Using the USB port on my Headunit. Which means there is the other special connection on my headunit which connects to the 400BT unit.

So... I'll ask again. What is the point of plugging the iPhone into the BT unit instead of the HU? Do I have to buy this special cable?
I have pretty much the same system - X305, 400BT and H100 processor ... and you're right it is a bit confusing.

In your system, you have a choice, connect the iPod via fullspeed or connect it via USB.

The fullspeed connection the blue or purple connector (10 or 13pin) is not USB. To use the USB with an X305, you need to use the black cable ~8" long (has iPod dock connector on one side and then USB on the other). The white iPod cable that you use with your computer is not going to work since it has a different resistor inside it for sensing what iPod you are using.

Hope that helps a bit.

The 400bt has ben replaced and the IVA505, also replaced, could it be the HXA 701 is bad?

Also when I hooked the RCA from the HU to the PDX.5 amp, the BT works great, no echo! Your sound advise is greatly appreciated
Thank you
My theory - the problem you are experiencing is related to the audio processing that you are doing (ie - adding delays), which introduces echoes.

Try this for me - write down your current time delay settings. Remove all delays, and use the system without any delays and try the 400BT again.

Other theory - if you can adjust the echo cancellation in your phone (in options menu on blackberrys) ... make sure you do it.

Hope that helps a bit ...

What are the setting you have set in your T.Correction? Am I supposed to set all of these numbers to 0?

I just checked the setting and was going to set the T.Corr to 0.00 but when I went into the setting I saw that the setting were already set to 0.00 for every entry in T.corr for L/R and L+R. Is there some kind of other setting that I need to modify? Could it possibly be the processor is bad or some other setting that is being missed?

My Samsung does not have a setting for echo cancellation. The installer has a blackberry with the echo cancellation and he had his echo cancellation turned on and it was still producing echo.

Thanks for all your help and good advice. Is there any other advice or ideas you might be able to provide?

Hi again, sorry didnt get back sooner, watch movie Star Trek.

But was thinking about it, i remembered that i had audio problems using the Fiber Optics and switched to ai-net cable between the head unit and H701. The t.corr shouldnt effect it, since i have t.corr set for delay in my system and not expereancing any echo. Do have question where you have the equipment mounted? just wondering, As my 400BT is mounted above the head unit and behind the center cubby and my H701 were the old bose sub was. You may have a bad H701, is it possible that your installer can temprally use a new H701 just to see if it is a Bad unit? also were do you have the mic mounted? i have mine mounted on the top of my rearview mirror
Give the Ai-net cable a try, dont know if it will help but it did with my other problem. Hope you get it cleared up for you. Mine is going strong.

The 400BT in the Camry Hybrid is mounted pretty much the same position, where yours is mounted also, above the radio next to the unit, mic above the rearview mirror, left side, but I did disconnected the bt mic, had no effect. I will try this as you recommend, disconnect the fiber optic, and leave connected the ai-net cable in place with the HU, see if that makes any diiference, also the HXA-701 is mounted under passenger seat in front of the Alpine PDX.5 amp 2 inches apart, maybe the units are too close, possible causing a feedback? (Monster RCAs)

P.S. How far are your Amp and HXA-701 apart?. Also when the BT recieves a incoming or outgoing call on the HU, it sounds good in the very beginning, then about 5secs into the call, the echo progresses more and more.

Thanks Again for the support
