Question Alpine Recommendations Please

I'm looking to install Alpine products in my car cuz I can get a good deal on them. Can anyone recommend what components would be best as far as speakers, subs, and amps? Are Alpine speakers and subs even worthy? Hopefully you guys can help me out so I can narrow down on what parts to buy. Thanks alot.

I recently did the same thing with my car. I have:

Alpine CDA-9813
176 6.5 components (fr0nt)
6x9 type s (rear)
2 12" type R's in the trunk

With that said. The deck and the interior speakers sound great (for the amount they cost). The 12's don't sound nearly as good as i thought they would so I replaced them with 2 JL 12w3 D6 subs and my system as a whole sounds sooo much better.

Alpine makes awesome stuff for the money but the subs just didn't play as loud as i needed. The deck is awesome by the way it has alot of features that allow you to shape the sound the way you want it.

Alpine is over priced, but at least above middle on performance and sound.
You can do better on the woofers.
If you can get a really steep discount, then it should be as good a deal as the middle to high end pioneer or sony in $$ per tune quality.
If you have to pay near-list, then there are many better choices- drop into best buy or the local auto sound discounter.
Key point- things never sound the same as in the store- so try to get some sort of "if they install it and it sounds bad, can i exchange" sort of deal

If you want the stuff cheap then go to ebay! they have pretty good prices on all alpine stuff. Go to Circuit City or Best Buy only to listen also check your local car audio shops for some deals. If you plan on buying from Best Buy or CC then plan on spending wayyyyy to much for what you are getting.
