I've tried playing with my fader and I can't tell the difference with the stock speakers even completely fading the rears out. I trust when people say you don't need rears for music in our cars. At most cheap coaxials for fill could be helpful.

how about a component system with the tweeters in the sail panel, the mids in the rear (behind the ear), and coax in the bottom door panel area.

this way, the audio stage is right by your ear / head level as you are in the mid of the tweeder / mid driver, and the coax and provide extra in the bottom (or take out the coax all together..) has anyone tried this? how would this sound?

well, i turned the treble down, and put the ratio to the rear so that the overall effect would be sound equally coming from front and back and it actually sounded great. only if i actually had some descent speakers.
