can anyone explain how to bypass this using a relay for me? I have the instructions posted on avic411.com, but they are a bit unclear to me.

the relay is easy to wire,

85 goes to ground
86 goes to remote turn-on/from #30 on relay from below
30 goes to ground
87 goes to the green wire on the pioneer harness
Re: AVH-P4100DVD

for 85 and 30, do those just chassis grounded, or do they connect to the ground on the harness? and for 86, does that just get spliced into the remote turn on wire between the unit and amp? and last, i'm guessing for 87 just connect the parking sensor wire right to the relay.

*06-08* Z's Metra 99-7602 double din kit doesn't fit well for the Pioneer 4100, when the LCD mechanism opens to eject the cd; the top of the unit will rub against and push against the metra kit. I tried adjusting it with no luck so I'm going to try my luck with the American International NDK744 kit, hopefully it doesn't rub. Otherwise the deck works great so far.

i have this in my 04 and it's a great unit, only problem i had was with the metra kit, it was a ***** to make this thing fit, it was rubbing top and bottom, so i dremeled the kit and mounted the deck on the second set of mounting points so it sits out from the dash about 1/4 an inch and works perfectly ill take pictures tomorrow and load them

Its a peice of cake d00d, it just takes some time...be sure to take your time as well.

Match color wires with colors wires....thats it, and dont lose your cubby hole screws while taking them out. Use magnetic screwdriver only.
