So I bought a 2Din, wired my iphone to the stereo, ran the wire to the cubby, whatever my shows on my iPhone, shows on the stereo. I removed the coin/ashtray and put in a 3 inch tft monitor. It was meant to be a back up cam monitor, I had it laying around, so I decided to use it. Now all I need is a GOOD but small pinhole type camera that I can mount behind my rear view and use it as a dash cam. I would hook it up to an SD motion recorder of course. So if anyone has suggestions for a cam, let me know please. (oh I broke the tft, the main monitor 'wire' broke, I ordered a replacement, should come in next week).

sorry guys, my friend's iphone is all I had to take the pic, I'll dig out the digital cam and post more pics later. Before I installed, this I worked for 2 days, making a mount. Turns out, the video cable + the iphone fit exactly in the cubby, not even room for a mount. So that solved my problem, I just place it there and it doesn't move. Have not seen anyone put a screen in the ashtray so I posted the pic. Once I get my replacement monitor, I'll post pics with some video in it.
