Default Head unit install help?

im trying to install a jvc kw avx820 for a friend of mine. during the install i checking the wiring harness 5 times along with all of the other connections to include the wire that connects to the e brake. for the life of me i cant figure out why the screen wont turn on. we called technical support and they didnt help and the manual tells you to reset it and nothing happens. the headunit has power and is grounded correctly, can anyone help us out?

Did u hook up the antenna? Some units need that to be connect in order to work. Just a thought.

Same thing happened to me. I installed the backup cam and did not fully connect the antenna and the headunit would not turn on. Thought I broke the dam thing.

Checked the unit fuse yet? How about power from the Red and yellow wires? Also, does it have a seperate control unit, if so, that need to be plug in too.
