Im considering buyin one of the Hitachi 7" VGA screens...its cheaper than the Xenarc VGAs and it has more NITs!!!
Does anyone here have any reviews on this screen? Hows the picture quality? Pics would be cool. If you have any info on the screen post it up .
if youre curious about it you can see it here .... http://www.digitalww.com/VGA_TM_710VG.htm
along with some specs

looking at the specs and its not on par with xenarc's quality. doesn't list max res, so guess 800x480 is the max resolution. Also seems to be max at 8 bit (256k) color resolution (which looks like crap, considering most desktop run at at least 24 bit now)
yeah it might be brighter, but I would rather get the xenarc for 100 bux more. And I know it fits.

I doubt anyone would have that screen. Forgot what the max resolution is on the Xenarc, i think 1024x768 or more. And its max 32 bit color resolution. For a vga screen i think that screen would match a regular LCD panel, just slightly better.

the brightness looks pretty much the same. Can't really tell the quality due to the low res pics (and none of the screen has a hi-res picture to display resolution and color)

I think the Xenarc looks like it has a greenish dull to it when compared to the Hitachi. But the Xenarc seems to have a slightly better sharpness for the text and the pics. It also looks like the Hitachi will fit just as well as the Xenarc....
Anyone have this in there Z or any other car for that matter? I would like to see some high resolution pics for more comparison...
