FM Modulator and TPMS
I purchased a Griffin ITrip FM modulator yesterday to use with my Blackberry Curve to play music files and Pandora Internest radio. This was the simplest option as I do not have a aux plug in my 06 Enthusiast.
I was on the Garden State Parkway for about 20 minutes after I plugged in the modulator when my TPMS started flashing and eventually stayed on solid. I cycled thru the readings and found nothing but dashes. I pulled off and checked tire pressure and all was in order. I have stock wheels and tires.
After some searching on the forums thru said Blackberry, I was convinced that i would have to have visit a dealership to have TPMS reset for some absurd fee.
Driving this afternoon, my Eureka moment happened. I realized that TPMS runs off a radio frequency. I pulled the modulator and a few minutes later everything was back to normal.
Has anyone had similar experience? Do I need to get another unit?
