Default Stock Speaker Making Popping Sound?

Hello Everyone,

One of my stock front 6.5" speakers (non-Bose) is making an annoying popping sound when listening to anything with bass at lower volumes. If I turn the volume up - it sounds better and it is more difficult to hearing the popping sound. Would this be covered under warranty?

Thanks,
Purez

Yes, of course that should be covered under warranty.

That is unless you have an aftermarket amp or something.

NO...not covered under warranty. Check your warranty book. Stereo components are not covered for two reasons. First, the user can adjust the volume to anything they like even if it is bad for the speakers. Hence, no coverage on blown speakers. Second, the CD player is not covered because you can shove dirty discs in there and easily screw the laser. Now, if the HU starts acting wierd or stops working, they may help you if you don't have that many miles. However, the speakers have no chance. As for what is causing the issue, I would guess that they are blown. However, you could, but I doubt it, have a bad connection.
