Default Best in-dash gps avaliable

I have a Pioneer AVIC D1 in my 2005 350z and recently it has been messing up. The screen wont recalibrate nor will the screen go back up when i open it. So my guess is that its time to upgade. Does anyone know whats a really good in-dash gps out there?

^^ Pioneer is an excellent GPS unit. You are experiencing some rarely encountered problems.

Have you contacted Pioneer about these issues?

EDIT: It sounds like a mechanical problem since your screen won't rotate. That could also affect function if some of the wiring is stretched or pinched.

^^ You can expect to get great support from Pioneer, and that's even if you didn't buy the device yourself.

If you contact Pioneer and describe your problem, they will help you. Pioneer provides exceptionally good support for their mobile line of products.

Kenwood DNX series. Garmin navigation integrated.

^^ I agree.

If Jimb0 does decide to replace his navigation device, by far the best pick is Kenwood (OEM Garmin).

Kenwood has many advantages: better application software (Garmin), better mapping database for North America (NAVTEQ), better performance (flash drive vs. HDD and DVD), superior reliability (solid state structure vs. mechanical drives), etc.
