Default XM Radio

Is the stock stereo compatible with XM/Sirius, or do I have to get a different stereo?

Well if it has it built in than yes it is if not than no and you either have to by a plug and play kit or a aftermarket radio with it. Also it is sirius/xm now

bigaudiofanatic answers your question very well.

I would like to add this: If your radio does not directly support Sirius/XM, don’t add a Sirius/XM tuner the uses an FM modulator. That’s an option, but the sound isn’t nearly as good as a satellite tuner directly attached to an H/U that supports this.

I agree with what you added spike. I had radio modulation for a while than got one that directly integrates to my head unit works great and I love it.
