Default Imaging in the Z.

Has anybody had imaging problems after replacing their factory speakers? I gutted my Bose system and now it sounds like the left front channel dominates the sound stage. Sure, I can play with the balance and fader, but that makes the sound crappy for all the hot girl passengers I pick-up just b/c I drive the Z. (LOL) Seriously, is there a way to fix this??? I always feel like I am listening to just the left front speakers. What up?

You could build kick panels. Personally I dont like the way most kicks sound, but it would help your image. You could also do a center channel which is what I did. It helps a great deal. You could also do a 6" mid-bass in your doors, and put a 4" and tweet on each corner of the dash in custom pods. Im suprised no one has tried that yet. When I get done w/ the rest of my install Im going to play w/ position, and angle of my mids behind the factory grills to get better imaging. Ill post what I come up with.

Encore,

I have seen most of your install, but I don't remember seeing a picture of your center channel. Do you have one? I have thought about the center channel in the past. I would like to see how it is done. Thanks!

If you sit in the passenger seat does it sound like you are always listening to the front right speaker?

Yes. Whatever side you sit on, that speaker will dominate the soundstage. The Bose system didn't do this. This is what puzzles/bothers me.
