Stock Sub Location?
Can I get good loud bass out of a 10 in this location? I know a little about audio and i know some 10s can hit pretty loud but i know the box plays a crucial part. Is this spot good or can the best 10 still sound bad in this location? If it is an ok spot to put a sub....what kind of subs should I be looking at?

i was goin to put one in the stock location. but you have to get the free air kind or what ever its called the ones that dont have to have alot of airspace... but then they was telling me i was going to have to dynamat it all and built a face plate to bolt it on so i just dropped my mtx 9500 10" in a custom box and i really didnt use what little trunk i had so its all good.

I could be a complete a$$ and tell you to search. This topic has been brought up at least once a week for the past 3 years I've been a member here.
But the short answer is many have tried, very few are actually satisfied with the results. The location and orientation of a sub front-facing behind the seat is less than ideal for achieving good sub bass.
Now, I have not heard one myself, but several members have installed and are satisfied with an Infinity Basslink installed in the factory sub area.

You really don't want to use a free air (aka - infinite baffle) sub in there because it would be near impossible to completely seal off the front from the rear. Instead what 'they was telling' you is a cheater way of creating a sealed enclosure in the compartment by using sound deadener to completely encase and seal off the chamber, essentially creating a sealed enclosure for the sub to reflex in.

no
Not a good place for one.
get the understrut brace from Zenclosures.
The bass response from the stock location is just not very good, the sound is "muddy" and lacks.
Sealing area is almost freakin impossible, after you get your head in there you will see what we are talking about.
The only good thing to put in the stock sub location is your amp rack/dsp.
