I'm thinking about going aftermarket on my speakers, but i have no experience whatsoever on which systems would be good.I don't want anything crazy as im not that into music (unless its the sound of the engine).I'm looking for a system that sounds pretty good, good base and can fit in the oem and look oem. I've been thinking about just getting the bose setup already offered by nissan, but i hear its bad?? So if you could point me in the direction of some good systems id appreciate it very much ( mention price too). btw my cars a 07 base.
Whats your budget? That can help us offer you some suggestions.
Some options off the top of my head are component speakers upgrade (~100 to 200), new head unit, or an amp compined with the previous ones mentioned.

I have had kenwood and alpine speakers both are good if you look in the audio forum you can see what size speakers fit. If there a fry's store near you they have a wider brand that u can listen to(try not to buy from them). If you found something you like and can go to 11th and central in downtown LA, you can buy them at a good price.

The front speakers holes fit a 6.5 inch driver and up to a 1” tweeter in the sail panel. The front speaker depth is relatively shallow, but allow 90% of the speakers on the market to fit. The rear speakers holes fit 6.5 inch drivers as well with plenty of room behind them.
Most 10 inch subwoofers will fit in the stock sub location without issue. The factory subwoofer mounting plate is included in all 350Z cars, the only difference is between the models will be the “grilled” cover standard in bose equipped cars and the “blank” cover in all others. The bose grill panel can be ordered separately and used. The stock location is made for a “Free Air” subwoofer design. (As opposed to a sub made for a sealed or ported enclosure). Some have built customer enclosures out of wood or fiberglass that fit this space.
