Unhappy In dash dvd player

im getting a pioneer in dash dvd player. my only worry is that it has a wire to hook up to the parking break sensor so that you can only play dvds when parking break is on. how the hell do you override that feature? Please any help!

Attach the parking brake wire to some metal on the car (i.e. ground the wire).

Yep, it should be that easy. Thats what I did for my in dash DVD player (Kenwood KVT-911DVD). The installer already had the wire ran to the parking brake sensor so I just cut the wire and grounded it to some metal.

Another option is to put the parking brake up to the first click. This will trip the sensor but doesn't engage the parking brake.

My installer (a close friend) ran the wire like normal to disable it with the parking brake off. He said all you have to do is cut it, so we did before we closed it up. :P

Works fine. I have the Clarion VRX935VD.
