Default Question on in dash 6 disc...

My bose 6 disc just went on the fritz. I was wondering if anyone knew if the standard oem 1 disc unit would be interchangeable. Anyone know??

Moved to proper forum

I assume you mean 'can you replace the Bose with the non-Bose headunit"? The answer is no, they are two totally different setups.

The "other" OEM H/U is a Clarion, and that (as Dave already states) is not compatible with your OEM Bose CES.

If you only want to replace the H/U, look in the Marketplace forum for an OEM Bose H/U from someone who has replaced their Bose with an aftermarket device.

If you go with what migz_0320 suggests…

…you will replace everything (Bose speakers and amp) to accommodate the aftermarket H/U. That’s your best solution if you are willing to spend the dough.
