I browsed some of the threads regarding problems with z's stereos but didnt find one for the Bose unit with similar problems.

h/u turns on and you can switch from radio to cd but no sounds plays. A couple weeks back this happened as well but periodically it would turn on, right now it is dead all the time (cant hear anything from any of the speakers).

What do u guys think it is?

Also I had the stock amp replaced under a recall a few years back, is it possible Nissan will replace it again under the recall or is it just one per car.

I had an 03 Bose that would cut out in sound on the right speakers only. It was a defective headunit that I had them replace under warranty. I bought an after market HU after that. I have one for sale for cheap if you want it.

 

anybody else know anything? Is this the same problem when it just cuts out in one speaker?

Maybe the amp is shot?

My G35 coupe had a similar issue.
I replaced the amp with one from my 06 touring roadster and now it works fine.

I did pickup a used amp from another G coupe and put that into the Z. Works fine..
