I don't believe so.
I used to do a lot of dumb stuff a few years back, and it doesn't seem like the factory alarm sounds until the door is opened.
Most factory alarms don't have glass break sensors. ..at least I don't think so.

ok..so does that mean the factory alarm is sort of useless?

so i need to invest in installing a set of aftermarket alarm system to guard my ride?

$800?! WHAT?!
Get a guy to take the car in.. that's a ripoff!
Go and get the glass itself and see if one of these guys on here can help you out, if they're local.

Probably.. get a nice Two-Way Pager. If anyone tries to break in, the remote will alert you.
Plus, you get remote start in the winter. Good stuff.

If your window gets busted out then no the alarm will not go off, ive already had that happen!!! But even if you get an aftermarket alarm then sure it will make ppl run away when they bust out your window but it will still not stop them from busting it out anyways!!! Just my .02

True. Cars like these tend to get vandalized by envious little bastards.
If I didn't have a garage, I'd probably have a guard dog in the Z or something.
