Default CDA-105 Rear iPod Input Placement

Hello all,

I have just installed an Alpine CDA-105 on my 2003 Z with stock sound system.
My g/f bought the HU from Crutchfield so it came with the DIN and harness kit.
Everything is installed just fine but I left the iPod rear input cable behind the dash.
My question is, is there a nice way to go about getting this cable out to the front? Not sure if I should cut a hole on the lower DIN pocket and just have the cable dangle and coiled in there or what.

Also, another thing that I was thinking about, should I just cut the wires and tape off the rear speaker wiring? I only run the front speakers and was wondering if it makes any difference for me to just push everything to the front versus push everything to the front + not connecting the rear wiring.

Why on Earth would you not hook up the rear wires. It's just a matter of connecting the supplied harnesses correctly. There's no "running of wires" unless you're installing new speakers/wiring.
Follow the directions and connect the harnesses.
I don't know how long your iPod wire is, but I ran mine through the center console and into the storage bin between the seats.

The rear wires are hooked up right now but since I push all of the audio out to the front speakers, I was just wondering if it is better to just disconnect the rear wiring/harness altogether.

The cable that I got is pretty long so the storage bin idea might work actually.
Did you have to drill a hole or anything? Any pictures of your storage bin with the wire out?

I cut a small hole at the bottom-front of the storage bin. No pics. I traded the car last month.
I had to pull out the console to run the wire. There is a screw below the coin box, a couple below the HU and two at the back of the console (you have to move the seats up to see them.
