Default Auxiliary Input Adapter/Converter

I've been doing some research on auxiliary input adapters for my iPod/MP3 solution. As you audio gurus may already be aware, apparently you can get an adapter that will interface with a factory HU changer port on one end with RCA outs on the other end. Perfect for connecting whatever you want.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find anything that will interface with the non-Bose HU in the 350Z. I know that you can connect a CD changer via Nissan's N-BUS harness...so I'm wondering if that can be used somehow...?

The one Nissan converter that I did see was for the Quest system (also found in some Ford applications). So I'm also wondering if a go-between from that to the Z HU can be found?

I'm curious if anyone else is looking for a similar solution and has had better results than me??

Dave

You do realize that the only thing that is "bose" about these stereos are the external amplifiers that run the speakers. The headunits are the same.

Hello narkotic,i don`t think the only difference are the amps.
The Bose has a build in 6 cd changer and thats the point why i`m even more worried than Dave dgz32 because the bose probably will even lack the cd-changer connector. So no way to put a x-box in the car and connect it to the aux-input(cd changer cable adapter).
I think the only way with bose is to plug in to the antenna(Pooor sound)
Dave, even if you don`t find a adapter a good radio-shop should be able to solder two rca inputs to the cd-changer connector of your non-bose radio.for my setup i would be happy to have your radio, unfortunately i have the bose......

I was looking for something similar and came across a company called Blitzsafe. They didn't have a 350Z application when I checked, but that might have changed. Good luck finding one, I think it's only a matter of time, because I don't think Clarion would come up with a proprietary interface for the Z.
