Default $500 too much for this setup?

Been trying to sell these for a while now. IMO, $500 is very good, considering I spent $1000 a year ago.

2 Kicker 10" CVR's in the pre-fab box
800w Pioneer GM-d7400m monoblock amp
Stinger 1 farad cap

Here's the ad too, just in case I maybe suck at selling.

You might get more exposure on eBay.

Shipping isn't really an option for me

Reason that I priced it so, is that all the audio shops around me have the subs as ~$450, amp at ~$300, and the cap ~$100

Id say $200 those speakers are lower end the amp is about $100. the cap isnt really worth it but say $20 if he can get it sold. The prefab box $0. $500 no freaking way. Even at $200 its gonna be a hard sell because for the $ a person could get better stuff.

I would value this at around $200 (maybe less), and that includes shipping.

And… If you are unwilling to package and ship to your buyer, reduce the value to near zero. That’s right… zero.

When you sell a product, you must be willing to handle shipping (and that means the insurance, packaging, cost of shipping etc.) If you are not willing to ship, then put a cardboard sign on the side of your garage and wait for someone who is interested. After a couple of months, put it back in your garage, forget about it for a few years, and finally pay someone to dispose of it.

I really hate it when someone offers a product but is too lazy to do the shipping.

My comments are driven by your statement…

My comment was that sellers who are not willing to ship are always “suspect.”

You asked about selling and pricing, and I advised that you reconsider your stance refusing to ship the product, which I believe reduces the value and your asking price.

Had I been looking to sell these online, I would have been ready to ship, taken more pictures, and posted a FS thread.

I asked about pricing because I have been trying to sell this for a little while now, and clearly I am asking too much.

^^ I get that. My comment was simply advertising to a larger community might get a better price, but only if you are willing to ship the product to a potential buyer who is outside your immediate area (i.e., someone who is not standing nearby your garage).

Ah, cant think today. If I decide to ship, and even if I dont, I guess I now know how much to sell them for.

Thanks, thread can probably be closed meow.

Local pickup is limiting your audience. You posted this in the regional forum right?

Agree with some of the people above, that's a bit much for used kickers. I suggest check your local listings on craigslist.com
