Its not quite the right color or fit that I wanted, but it will have to do for now.
I bought another double din dash kit that I'm going to start next week.
What a pain in the butt. It was fun.

I thought i smelt some pics....
Thats a REALLY nice install. Very clean!
Questions:
Where are you sending the sound output now that the BOSE is out?
Are you having any heat problems?

Damn, that looks nice! Yea...anyone have leads on how to mount this with a goose neck adapter. I was thinking of mount it to the passenger side so it swivals and stuff. I was hoping to keep my HU where it is since its already aftermarket.

oops, forgot to ask one more question. Sorta new to the vga screen arena. But you guys say theres a touchscreen addition that you can buy. Does that mean after you can open folders and files on your desktop by using a stylus or your own fingers?
thanks

The sound comes from the Santa Cruz Turtle Beach 6.1 sound card through the mini plugs to RCA into the Sony amps.
No heat problems. I gets to about 100 degrees in there. I actually had to overclocked it and got it to shut down at 140.
I had the screen on a goose neck and it shook around a bit.
I'll send it to you if you pay for shipping.
The touch screen should do everything your mouse does if you set it up right.

Thanks for the quick reply. So instead of radio, you just have mp3 capabilities then? How's the sound quality using the soundcard to the amps? Any noticeable difference?
Clean install by the way, let us know if you're ever out in the So Cal Meets..I would love to see your setup in person. Thanks!

It has a am/fm/tv tuner card and dvd. I wasn't going to sacrifice the radio for this. I wanted it all, except for the cassette player.
The radio reception is pretty good. The tv quaility is spotty. I kinda expected that.
The sound quality is very good. I had to play around with different sound cards to get what I liked.

Sorry, I haven't been able to do much of anything for the last couple of weeks. I just moved from Colorado to Arizona so I haven't been able to finish the install yet. Tomorrow, I'm going looking for a house to buy. As soon as I have a place to live, I'll be able to have the movers deliver my furniture and stuff, I'll be able to finish the install. Don't expect anything for a couple weeks though. Sorry. Right now I'm living out of a suitcase.

Everything is good, but there are alway problems.
I need a better case case or a better way to hold down the current for the computer in the glove box. The hard drive cables have been shaking loose, causing the computer to crash while I'm driving.
It does have 5.1 but I don't have a center channel speaker or a place for it yet.
It looks great. No round ***** sticking out. Just a flat surface.

I have this touchscreen as well. I installed it in the navi location. It fits, but with mods to the case etc. I ended up taking it out of the case, cutting the case up to get it to fit, and i superglued the case to the back of the navi opening. I then cut the back of the case so it would fit, and i screwed it all back together. As for the buttons, i cut that area off for now. The buttin board is just sitting there behind the screen. And I soldered the infared sensor to a wire, that i soldered to the board, so the sensor is now located by my stereo HU. The only problem is that the NTSC/PAL adapter plugs into the screen using a USB connection, that sticks out far, and i had to cut some "behind the dash useless plastic" to get it in there. It looks good so far. If only i could get the DC-DC power supply to work so i can get my PC working, now all I can use the screen is to watch DVDs. So no paris hilton movies in the Z yet, just some Jenna
I can post some pictures when I get home if anyone wants
