Bose TSB Review (how it sounds now)
Okay, i had my amp replaced 4 months ago, the first audio pilot fix i think it was. The stereo sounded more anemic after the first amp change out. This time, i received a card in the mail so i took it into my dealer again. Actually it sounds much better, a little more midrange and bass, and a bit cleaner, i can crank it up louder and enjoy it now. Of course i still have the bass on +5 and treble on +2 though. Tried everything from eminem to led zeppelin and i think it sounds a lot better! It's still not audiophile premium sound, but i can live with it now. Saved me some bucks on a free air sub and amp. For those who weren't thinking about it, give it a try. Oh yeah, the up down audio pilot noise thing isn't that bad either, it doesn't just boost the bass like it did in the original, it's much milder. I'll give nissan a thumbs up on this one, at least they tried to remedy it and it's passable. I guess i should try FM now, i was listening to CD's all the way home.
Totally agree with your assessment of the new amp. My Z was produced in May '03, so it came with the weak amp with no bass and a very tinny sound. The amp replacement I got a few weeks ago gave me enough bass and clarity that I can now take the money I was going to use for a sound system and apply it to other mods.
I am considering the Technosquare ECU remap as well. Since you live in Torrance, did you just take your ECU to their facility and wait for the re-burn? How do you like the performance the remap provided? Any issues at all with this mod?
