Default help on sub wiring

hey all, just a quick question for wiring the subs.
I have two 10" Image Dynamics ID10V3D4 trying to connect to
Image dynamics Q600.1 mono amplifier.
I purchased these from Woofersetc and the guy told me to wire it this way.
I just want to check if this is a right way to wire them.
Any help is appreciated, and sorry for the crappy drawing.

^^^No.

Your pic would only make one coil on one sub operate.

I just googled your amp and found this....

http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/pdf/...al%20Q-amp.pdf

It says your amp is stable into 1 ohm. I had less luck googling your subs but the part number seems to indicate dual 4 ohm voice coils on each.

If this is correct, all you need to do is connect each + terminal on ech voice coil to the + speaker output on your amp. Then connect each - terminal on each voice coil to the - speker terminal on your amp.

If your subs have dual 4 ohm coils, this will create a 1 ohm load.

I am on my way out the door, or I would draw a pic for you, but for now that's the best I can do.

If any of my assumptions for your equipment are incorrect, disregard my post. For instance, if your subs have dual 2 ohm coils, this could fry your amp.

Hope this helps.

If they are single coil subs then the picture will work.
If they are dual coil subs the picture will not work.

I did a quick search for the model number but didn't see any relevent specs. Can you provide more information as to the impedence or number of coils per sub?
