Alpine imprint....help!
I have an IVA W505, a couple of PDX ALpine amps, Bostons Pros all around, and a TC customs f glass box w 2 JL 10W7's... just got most everything hooked up... and have yet to run the Imprint...but as it sits w a general tune, my bass is non existent. Theres little signal w a multimeter at the sub wires, but they are indeed working, if I pull the RCAs it buzzes loud as hell, so signal and wiring is intact. Thers just very very very little signal going thru those wires to make any damn music! ( Does sound clear as hell tho).
Again, I have NOT run the microphone and Imprint from my PC.... has anyone tuned w Imprint before? Alp says to tune w the gain down, but Im skeptical, and Im usually not. Just doesnt seem right.
What should I expect....I have a 120 lb sub contraption sitting back there in my trunk.. if Im not gonna get any real bass out of it, Id rather use a stealth box w some W3s and save the weight.
So again, major question was...who has experience w Imprint and set up, specifically the bass issue.
( slappa da bass mon)

I just changed to a ported enclosure which is 50lbs and two RE sx10d4 which are 24lbs each and damn i can def feel the extra weight plus the rear end sits a lil lower but its well worth it now i can hit the lows. Imo you should of went with 10w6 or a different comp altogether. Dont bother with the stealth enclosure way over priced just get the zenclosure under the strutbar i have 1 like new if you want $50 plus ship

I don't know the Imprint system, but before you go through all the work of installing/setup, double check the subwoofer settings on the head unit as is. What level do you have the subwoofer volume set at? (should be between 0 and 15) It sounds obvious, but that may be a simple fix. Sold my alpine 9813 years ago to a friend, he called me with a similar concern. He had two kicker L7s, and weak bass output, and re-setting the sub amp gain using the subwoofer level control on the HU improved the bass.

^^^Nope i bought the zenclosure the one that fits in the back with the subs firing up. I had to adjust the port length to work for my subs cause Mike doesnt do custom work. The box is top notch quality and other shops were quoting me $350 and up for the same box design. i really missed the lows and loudness of a ported box.

Tell me do you have a Bass boost control ***? (I had the EXACT SAME ISSUE, and have a PXE-H650) Disconnect the Bass boost cable if you do. The imprint hardware will have a controller for the bass it self so don't worry.
