Need some Help With installing Pioneer AVH-P3200DVD
So Im new to audio stuff and have been searching about this AV Reciever and I had a few Questions about the install and what I would need:
1) I havent installed audio stuff before but I did all the bolt ons on my car and am pretty good when it comes to following directions. Is the Job of taking the crappy stock center console out and installing this new one a difficult job?
2) Would I need to sodder anything or is that for only taking off the Ebrake/dvd restriction?
3) To get the job complete material wise what all would I need (Would I need a case for the screen would fit back in snuggly??
4) Would I save a lot of money doing it myself rather than at an audio shop
Thanks guys I really wanna get rid of the stock setup I dont have a navi and its a base 350z so it would be nice to get something on the inside

Where did you get the Pioneer and for how much? I was/am looking at that one since it has bluetooth and will play DVDs, but we have NAV and that stereo doesn't so maybe you want to consider one with Nav built in?
Doing audio isn't really that challenging, but I don't know if I'd go at it alone on your first try.

I havent got it yet but i was looking on amazon they have good pricing, ya i might ask a friend to help me with the install but i never thought about how i park my car outside idk if this would be a good investment now since someone could brake into my car and take this. But alright man thanks for the help. Also reason I dont wanna get one with navi built in is the pricing on those is significantly higher ill stick to iphone maps for now i guess.

I just bought that HU on Monday from Amazon. I researched it for about a month before I bought it. From what I gathered, you need to get (2) additional accessories to install the HU... A wiring harness and a Metra installation kit. I'll be installing it myself, but I do have a little bit of car audio experience. There are tons of DIY threads on here and elsewhere online for this exact HU, which is one of the main reasons why I chose to get this HU.
Here's what I got:

The Pioneer is going to come with a wiring harness with a plug on one side and bare wires on the other. Crutchfield.com (and plenty of others) will sell you an adapter with bare wires on one side and a Nissan Z plug on the other. Soldier the sets of bare wires together with heat shrink and plug each end into each part. If you've got the Bose system and want to keep the amp and speakers (NOT RECOMMENDED!) you'll have an adapter soldiered in the middle between those sets of bare wires.
Cool think is that you can soldier out on a kitchen table somewhere rather than the interior (full of melty plastic and carpet) and then bring the work to the car. You could also find a friend with skills and a thirst to do the work for you.
