I like the iPod in the coin holder opening. I have an iPod mini and it fits in the coin holder itself without removing it. Only issue is the screen faces the passenger due to the position of the cord. Not a big deal for me since I play playlists on it. The brushed aluminum on the iPod mini matches the Z interior pieces too. I got some vinyl overlays to turn the white controls black. Also the microdrive toasted a few years back so I upgraded to a 16G compact flash card, and run rockbox instead of the iPod interface. I really wanted to turn the LCD display amber but couldn't find a good solution so I gave up on that.

 

How did you make this? What materials did you use? I have a USA spec adapter running through my coin holder and I want to do this.
